The Minister of Youth and Sports, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue and the Equatorial Guinean Football Federation (FEGUIFUT) have confirmed that the national football team of Equatorial Guinea will play a friendly match against Spain in Malabo on Saturday 16 November. The match will take place at the new sports stadium in Malabo.
As a sign of the good relations between the two countries, the Spanish team – currently world football champions – have agreed to waive any financial compensation for the match.
The Minister promised the Spanish team a warm welcome in Equatorial Guinea, encouraging all football fans in Equatorial Guinea to show their support for the country’s guests. During their visit, the Spanish team will stay in the luxury resort team of Sipopo.
