English singer and songwriter, Joss Stone, has included the Republic of Equatorial Guinea for a live concert performance during her Total World Tour.
Joss Stone rose to fame with her multi-platinum debut album and nominated for the Mercury Prize, The Soul Sessions, recorded when she was only 16 years old. Currently, the singer has released seven albums and earned two Brit Awards and one Grammy Award.
During her three-day stay in Malabo, Ms. Stone will meet with a local NGO which addresses issues of women’s empowerment; on her second day, she will record songs with a local group, concluding her visit on the third day with a concert scheduled for Saturday, 21 January 2017, at the hotel Sofitel Malabo Sipopo le Golf.
The Embassy of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea in London is pleased with the artist’s visit to Malabo, which is significant considering the efforts made by the Government to enrich the country, in awareness that culture is an indispensable factor to ensure the nation’s growth.
